Yes, that right, most of the new people wont know, but I have hosted LAN parties in Austin, TX, USA area for over 10 YEARS before I moved away to New Zealand. I know I know, tragic to everyone in Texas that was attending, but your loss is New Zealand's gain! I will be hosting the first New Zealand FamousAmos LAN!!! September 24th, 2011. Mark your calendars. BUT, for the first time in FamousAmos LAN history there will have to be a mandatory charge. Unfortunately the equipment I gathered over many years for my LAN party hosting was LEFT behind in the US (hopefully going to some good use, but I have heard a little otherwise). Well not all the equipment, but mainly the tables and chairs. Now I cant have people sitting on the floor sure, but in order to recoup these necessary items, I will need to charge for the first few LAN parties. And a nominal fee as time goes on. Unfortunately power in NZ is just that much more expensive and I just cant afford to do them at this point unless I charge for entry. I will announce pricing very soon, just working out dinner arrangements.

In saying that, the games are listed at this point, but know that we will have a blast. No, we dont tend to run private servers but if you want to set one up, just PM me, I am sure I can help you with the server part.

This is also my birthday LAN (September 21st) as some might already know. Now in lieu of presents, please just bring a monetary donation, or if you like PM me and let me know if you have a table(s) or chair(s) you would like to permanently donate to the cause. I promise they wont go unnoticed. If we can get seating sorted for everyone then we can move on to just worrying about what to eat, when we'll stop, and covering electrical costs for the day/night.
